Your Money Blueprint Number: The Talent You Should Be Getting Paid For

Ask ten people what they are good at and nine will describe a job title. Titles change. A talent doesn't. Your Money Blueprint Number points at the talent underneath the title: the thing you do almost without effort that other people happily pay for.

It is the Expression (or Destiny) Number of Pythagorean numerology, read through one question: what is my natural way of creating value?

Where it comes from

Your Wealth Path comes from your birth date. Your Money Blueprint comes from your full birth name. A name is the label you were handed, and numerology treats its letters as a code for how you operate in the world.

That makes the two numbers complementary. The Wealth Path Number shows where money moves for you. The Blueprint shows what you bring when it does.

How to calculate it

Give every letter a value from 1 to 9:

  • 1: A, J, S
  • 2: B, K, T
  • 3: C, L, U
  • 4: D, M, V
  • 5: E, N, W
  • 6: F, O, X
  • 7: G, P, Y
  • 8: H, Q, Z
  • 9: I, R

Add the values of all letters in your full name, then reduce the total to a single digit. If you land on 11, 22 or 33, stop. Those are Master Numbers and stay as they are.

Example: HENRY FORD H8 + E5 + N5 + R9 + Y7 = 34, then F6 + O6 + R9 + D4 = 25. Together 59, then 5 + 9 = 14, then 1 + 4 = 5.

You can skip the maths: the free calculator shows all three of your money numbers in seconds. Use your name exactly as it appears on your birth certificate for the most accurate result.

The mistake almost everyone makes

Most people monetise the wrong layer. A Communicator (3) takes a spreadsheet job because it is "stable". An Organizer (4) tries to be a personality brand because everyone else is. A Visionary (11) gives away the insight and charges for the admin.

The Blueprint shows where you are working against your own grain. The question to ask is not "what job fits my number?" but "which part of my current work uses this talent, and am I charging for that part?"

Use it this week

  1. Calculate your number and read the description.
  2. Write down three things people regularly ask you for help with.
  3. Check how many of those you charge for, and how many you give away.

For most people the gap in step 3 is the whole story.
